We have been begging for a small allocation of the stunning wines of Werlitsch for years and a tiny amount is finally in Ontario for the first time. While some low-intervention wines are wild and freaky (& we love 'em), these are complex, super fine and ageable - though tasting freakin' delicious right now. Extremely limited quantities.

This skin-contact Chard & Sauvy B uses hand-harvested, destemmed, slow-pressed grapes, fermented in Austrian foudre and aged in its ICONIC ceramic bottle (which you obviously need to save forever) for around 2 years. The German Glück translates directly to Happiness, and this wine embodies the energetic nature of the emotion in its purest form, the feeling of receiving life news so insanely, life-changingly excellent that you have to run around the block three times to fully process it. Werlitsch skin contacts demand and command attention; they adore food but aren’t afraid to upstage it. Gluck is the kind of wine that makes you want to stick your nose deep into the glass— like, who even cares?! Life is for living!! Aromas of Meditteranean garrigue, Orange Julius, jackfruit & dried apricot give way to an emotive, complex palate of dried apricot, honeycomb, and a lil sprinkle of salt for good measure. Cellar away!
