PRODUCTION & DRINKING

We fell in love with Bobinet years ago on one of our first trips to France. Starting in Paris and driving south, we found Bobinet popping up on so many of the best wine shops, restaurants and bars. We were hooked from our first glass: the wines were precise, flavourful, so alive and whistle clean. The type of natural wines that age beautifully, steal a night and stick with you. Driving through the Loire, it felt like fate when we drove right by the small, beautiful winery en route to Saumur. Bobinet was formed in 2002 when Sébastien, an 8th generation vigneron, took over 1.8 hectares of vineyard and a beautiful old limestone cellar from his grandparents. Organic since the start thanks to the influence of famed grower Olivier Cousin with biodynamic elements. Emeline, a former dancer-turned sommelier in Paris, fell in love with the property and Sébastien on a year-long trip across France connecting her favourite bottles to the land. Now she is the first female winemaker in 8 generations. Her wines are powerful, long lasting and absolutely a pleasure to share and enjoy.
